Who are we?
Gifts for Gold was started as a club by two high school brain cancer survivors hopeful to make an impact on local cancer communities. Cassidy Stocker and Abby Lee were both treated for brain cancer at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and benefited from donations made by kind strangers to Child Life Specialists. After chemo ended, they decided they wanted to find a way to give back to not only the Child Life specialists, but the community, therefore starting a club to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. So far, Gifts for Gold has raised over $20,000 for pediatric cancer, and that number is only growing. We are officially a nonprofit waiting to be filed as a 501(3)c, giving us the tools to make even more of an impact. Gifts for Gold continues working to show kids battling cancer and other life threatening illness that they are not alone and people out there are working tirelessly to help them survive the unthinkable.
